Streaming Ident and Brand Identity

A self-initiated project exploring how motion graphics can drive the visual identity of a streaming service—from branding to on-screen packaging.

“A streaming service built for viewers who seek high-quality, independent, and alternative media.”

“KINO is a platform that challenges the endless stream of disposable ‘content’ we’re bombarded with. It offers a curated selection of thought-provoking TV and film—stories made to resonate, inspire, and leave a lasting impact.“

Ident

The ident serves as the introduction to the platform—it sets the stage for what follows. The distortion and pixelation effects pay homage to classic TV sets and the pixels that form the images we see on our screens. These effects also reflect the countercultural ideologies at the core of the brand. The colour palette represents the wide range of genres and media offered on the platform.

Condensed Idents

The condensed idents carry the same atmosphere as the full ident but are used when a shorter sequence is required.

Alternative idents appear before different genres of media, helping to establish a specific mood or setting—such as drama or romance—before the show or film begins.

These varied idents aim to increase engagement with the brand and serve as a reminder of the service’s more personalised and creative identity.
